Walking Dead Slot Machine In Las Vegas

Video taken at Plaza Downtown Las Vegas.

The default reel grid is 6 x 4, but reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 can grow to seven reels high at certain points. Reel Growth is coupled with the Wild Attack feature, where random symbols become wildand boost your chances of forming big wins.

Another feature that happens during Reel Growth is The Horde, where zombies lunge at the screen and create extra wilds.

This feature is triggered when you land 3 or more Wheel Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels.

This feature takes you through the streets of Atlanta, where a big wheel is sitting in the middle of a street. You’ll also see a large group of zombies clawing at the bottom of the wheel.

The wheel is marked with a number of jackpots, free spins, CDC Wheel, and credit prizes. Jackpots include the Grand, Major, Minor, and Mini prizes.

You won’t have access to the Grand prize until you’ve worked up through the different levels of the CDC Wheel. The Grand prize is originally seeded with $500,000 and can only be won throughthe wheel.

You can unlock the Escape Atlanta free spins from the Wheel Bonus. This sees you go back onto the streets of Atlanta while trying to bypass zombies in the top screen.

You get the number of free spins that you earned on the wheel, and you’ll also see the middle reels expand to seven spaces high. Extra Guts expanding wilds will appear and help you netlarger wins.

During episodes 5 and 6 of the first season, Rick leads a group of survivors to the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta. The group seeks help from the government at the CDC and possibleinformation on a cure for the unknown pathogen that’s affecting everybody.

The CDC Wheel is triggered when the Wheel Bonus stops on this space. You see a scene from the show, then you’re prompted to select your number of spins from three markers.

Once you make a selection, your free spins will be revealed and you’ll be able to win credit prizes, more CDC spins, additional bonus rounds, or a multiplier.

The grenade bonus occurs within the CDC Wheel, and it features a number of credit prizes above it.

When you land on the grenade space, a flashing light begins traveling up the credit spaces above the grenade. The hope is that it goes all the way to the top space, which is 3,000credits. But you can still win prizes worth 300, 600, 900, 1,200, and 1,500 credits.

Developed by Arrow’s Edge, The Winning Dead is a 5 reel slot that offers a generic take on The Walking Dead. This game centers on two characters who are trying to survive in apost-apocalyptic city filled with zombies.

Obviously the subject matter is similar to Aristocrat’s Walking Dead slot. But how do these games compare in other areas? You can see below as we cover The Winning Dead’s symbols, graphics, and bonuses.

This game gives you the option to either be Jackson or Anne Belle during the game. Your choice determines who stands beside the reels and cheers you on after winning payouts.

The background is a standard city scene from a post-apocalyptic TV show / film. You’ll see a dilapidated movie theater along with several worn down skyscrapers behind the reels.

The Winning Dead’s background certainly doesn’t compare to The Walking Dead’s realistic view of Atlanta. But it works for the cartoon style that’s featured in The Winning Dead.

While playing, you’ll hear fiendish laughter that’s meant to sound like it’s coming from a zombie. This slot also features an eerie jingle that plays throughout the game.

Symbols include a green zombie, zombie antidote, Jackson, Anne Belle, pistol, chainsaw, A, K, Q, J, 10, and 9. The symbols are presented in a fun manner, which makes them less grotesquethan what you’ll see in The Walking Dead.

The only problem we have with the symbols is that there aren’t many original ones. Half of the symbols are taken up by generic letters and numbers, which seem unnecessary when youconsider how many cliché zombie related symbols there are.

The pay lines are adjustable, but only in weird increments. You can play 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 19, or 25 pay lines, which is the strangest setup that we’ve ever seen.

The coin denominations are also odd, with the following denominations available.

  • $0.01
  • $0.02
  • $0.05
  • $0.10
  • $0.25
  • $0.50
  • $1.00
  • $7.00
  • $10.00

The betting options make for a minimum bet of $0.01 and a max wager of $250.00 per spin. You can put the reels on auto spin with your selected betting options for between 5 and 50spins.

Other options include the ability to change the game speed, music volume, turn music on/off, and change graphics quality (for slower PCs/mobile devices). To change these other options, click the gear symbol in the bottom left hand corner.

The Winning Dead offers two bonus features in free spins and a first person shooter round. You can see more on both of these bonuses below:

Free spins are triggered when you land 3 or more zombie antidote symbols anywhere on the reels. You’re awarded 10 free spins, and all of your prizes are tripled. You can also re-triggerthis feature by landing 3 or more zombie antidote symbols anywhere on the reels.

You trigger this bonus by getting zombie symbols anywhere on reels 2, 3, and 4 at the same time. You’re taken to a screen where you choose whether to shoot zombies in the amusementpark, graveyard, house, or school.

You move your gun target to shoot 3, 4, or 5 zombies during the bonus round, and each eliminated zombie nets you a credit prize. We especially like this bonus because it involves someskill.

The Winning Dead is a good online slot with above average graphics and eerie music. We also like how you can choose which character you want to be before the game starts.

Our absolute favorite part about The Winning Dead is the second screen bonus round, where you pick a location to shoot zombies at. It’s great that you get to aim at the zombies becausemost slots don’t involve skill like this in bonus rounds.

By itself, The Winning Dead is a fun game that ranks ahead of most slots. But when put it beside The Walking Dead, it isn’t the same quality. The Walking Dead has better graphics, animations, and more unique symbols.

The Walking Dead has taken a subject that’s previously been relegated to 2 hour movies and turned it into a TV phenomenon that’s still going strong after six seasons.

It’s not easy to take a show this popular and make a slot machine that lives up to the legacy, but Aristocrat has done it.

Everything starts with the 31.5 inch screen that allows for stunning video displays. This is especially fun during the Escape Atlanta free spins, when you’re moving past zombies in thestreets while simultaneously spinning the reels.

The iChair also creates an exciting effect when it rumbles during the action.

The graphics and animations are another plus to this game since you’ll see characters from the show, video scenes, and excellent detail. Our only complaint here is that the effects willbe too gory for some, especially the Guts expanding wild.

Where The Waking Dead really shines is its bonuses since there are two bonus wheels, both of which can lead to extra features.

The Wheel Bonus offers four different jackpots and the chance to spin the CDC Wheel. The CDC Wheel offers credit prizes, multipliers, and a grenade bonus that gives you a variablecredit prize.

The Walking Dead is a complete slot machine that offers everything that you’d want from a slots experience. As long as you can get past the gore, this is an excellent game to play.

Las Vegas hosts the Consumer Electronics Show until Friday.

Unveiled in 2014 by Aristocrat, The Walking Dead slot machines are available at several Las Vegas casinos, including Bally's, The Flamingo, Harrah's, Planet Hollywood, Rio, and Paris Las Vegas. The slot incorporates composer Bear McCreary's iconic theme song and involves characters like Rick Grimes, Lori Grimes, Shane Walsh, Michonne, and Glenn Rhee.

Inspired by the earliest seasons of the show, centered around the Atlanta group of survivors shortly after the onset of the apocalypse, the slots feature bonuses involving 'Wild Attack' and 'The Horde,' featuring the show's famous cannibalistic corpses.

Other bonuses include the 'CDC Wheel,' offering players a chance to win credits and multiple prizes with the grenade or to trigger the 'Walker Bonus' multiplier, and 'Escape From Atlanta,' awarding the player free games.

Newer machines, based on The Walking Dead season 3, can be found throughout Las Vegas.

Reedus appeared at the Critics' Choice Awards ceremony Thursday night with girlfriend Diane Kruger. The pair stepped out onto the blue carpet after making their carpet debut as a couple during last weekend's Golden Globes.
