25¢ “GOLDEN FALLS” MILLS SLOT MACHINE. Manufactured from the late 1930’s and into the mid-1940’s, this handsome as well as classic slot machine featured a large “hand load” jackpot. All too often a player would win the jackpot and it would remain empty for a period of time. Mills’ answer to this dilemma would be for the owner/operator to physically reload the jackpot, thus encouraging further player participation. Castings are attractively painted in hammered gold and black crackle, sides and base are finished in hammered gold. Machine comes with a finely crafted oak stand with polished aluminum legs and owl adorning front door. SIZE: 16″ x 16″ x 23″. CONDITION: Overall excellent restored condition. 1-8684 JL (1,200-1,500)
